God speaks to us in so many ways.
Through scripture, through another person, and even in our thoughts.
God gives us the ability to think, and
we frequently have thoughts such as
“I’m hungry” or “I’m tired.”
Yet, it is important to keep in mind that the enemy will also speak to us in the form of thoughts.
We must learn how to take those thoughts and determine whether they are consistent with God’s word.
Example:
A thought from God might say,
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Where the thought from the enemy would say, “I can’t do this.”
God’s thought will convict but in love.
The enemy’s thoughts will bring guilt and condemnation.
God’s thought will encourage and reassure.
The enemy’s thoughts will discourage and frighten.
God’s thought will lead and guide.
The enemy’s thoughts will push and rush.
God’s thought will calm us.
The enemy’s thoughts will make us obsess and worry.
God’s thought will bring comfort.
The enemy’s thoughts will bring chaos and compromise.
God’s thought will bring clarity and confirmation.
The enemy’s thought will bring confusion.
God’s thought will bring us closer to Him.
The enemy’s thought will bring controlling spirits.
When you are in doubt on whether it came from God or the enemy.
Look for the fruits of the Holy Spirit.
Love, Joy, Peace, Patients, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-control.
God’s voice will always be aligned with His word.
And will always bring encouragement.
God would never wish you harm…
God loves you ❤️
Brenda in Christ.
This is a thought-provoking reminder about discerning the source of our thoughts, especially in a spiritual context. I completely agree that not every thought aligns with divine guidance, and it’s crucial to evaluate them carefully. Brenda’s message emphasizes the need for vigilance, which I find both challenging and inspiring. But how exactly can we train ourselves to differentiate between negative influences and genuine, God-led thoughts? It seems like such an essential skill, yet it’s not always straightforward. I wonder if there are specific practices or scriptures that could help strengthen this discernment. Do you have any personal experiences or advice on how to better align thoughts with God’s word?
This is a thought-provoking reflection on how we discern the voice of the enemy through our thoughts. It’s crucial to align our mindset with God’s word, as Brenda mentioned. I personally believe this requires constant self-awareness and spiritual discipline. But how do we practically differentiate between our own thoughts and the enemy’s whispers? Sometimes the lines feel blurred, and it’s easy to second-guess ourselves. Do you think there’s a specific way or prayer that helps clarify this? I’d love to hear more about how others navigate this challenge in their faith journey. What’s your take on Brenda’s approach?
